What is Ygrene Works?
Ygrene Works is a property assessed clean energy (PACE) financing program. Among the first cities in Florida to approve PACE Financing through Ygrene Works are Orlando and Winter Park. The financing can be used for multiple home improvements in addition to roofing that are considered energy efficient. This privately funded program allows you, the homeowner, to use the equity in your home to qualify you for a low interest fixed rate loan. Even better, because payments are made through your city property tax bill, you may see a tax benefit as well.
What Roofing Products are Eligible?
In Florida you can use a Ygrene loan for both hurricane or wind improvements and cool roofing. That means when you choose Russ Noyes Roofing, we can install your new cool roofing while upgrading your home to the latest hurricane and wind codes. Both GAF and CertainTeed offer cool roofing options in asphalt shingles. TAMKO and GulfCoast Supply have metal roofing options that are consider cool roofing. GulfCoast Supply has an excellent hurricane strapping systems for their metal roofing. Lastly, Boral and Entegra offer tile roofing that qualify. You can also add insulation and certain other improvements to your Orlando or Winter Park roofing system.
Why Should I Consider this Option?
In addition to this being a fixed rate low interest loan, this is an extremely easy process. There are no financials to submit and no out of pocket fees. Most homeowner need only need at least 10% equity in their home and are current on their taxes. This is a no money down financing option, making it easy to get started.
Once the project is completed, your payments go directly onto your monthly mortgage payment through your escrow account. You don’t even have to keep track of a separate bill! If you sell your home prior to paying off the home improvement, the balance of the loan transfers to the new property owner. You only pay for the benefit of the improvement you receive.
