Cool roofing reflects back more of the sun’s heat than traditional roofing and lowers your energy usage. Tile roofing’s insulative properties naturally help reduce energy usage.
GAF’s Timberline® Cool Series Shingles are a great way to lower your cooling costs by up to 15%. These shingles come in three colors – Antique Slate, Barkwood, and Weathered Wood. Because of their reflective properties your attic temperature will be cooler than it would be with traditional asphalt shingles. CertainTeed offers their Landmark Solaris® Platinum series which have been rated by the Cool Roof Rating council. Costal Tan, Sierra Bluff, and Santa Fe Blend meet the Energy Star® standards with an industry leading solar reflectance of over 40%.
Eco-Friendly Roofing Practices
